Our club

From wetland to city golfing sanctuary.

Kelab Golf Titiwangsa PDRM is a distinctive nine-hole club shaped by police heritage, sporting fellowship and an extraordinary city-centre setting.

In 1982, much of the present course was still a neglected water-catchment area. Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar saw beyond its condition and imagined tree-lined fairways, water features and a meeting place built around sport.

Reclamation began around 1983 and eventually used approximately 60,000 lorry-loads of earth. The course took form through the design work of Ng Ah Bey, supported by police officers and early club pioneers. Play first began over six holes near PULAPOL before the present nine-hole layout emerged.

On 9 March 1991, DYMM Raja Azlan Shah officially opened Kelab Golf Titiwangsa. That pioneering spirit continues today as the Club improves its course and services while preserving the police heritage and fellowship upon which it was built.

Recent development

The Revival of KGTPDRM

By 2023, age and years of continuous use had taken their toll on the course and club facilities. Playing conditions had declined, facilities had deteriorated and many golfers had gradually turned away.

Recognising the need for decisive action, the Management Committee and Club Management made the courageous and correct decision to begin a comprehensive programme of renewal.

The results are now clearly visible. The course has regained its quality and character, facilities have improved, golfers are returning and popular playing sessions are frequently fully booked. The Club's humble driving range has also grown into a popular practice and social destination in central Kuala Lumpur.

This successful revival has restored confidence, pride and new energy to KGTPDRM. It marks an important step towards returning this historic PDRM golf sanctuary to its former glory—and building an even stronger future.

The course

Nine holes. A complete golfing experience.

Accuracy, judgement and course management matter more than sheer length across this par-36 parkland layout. Elevated tees, tree-lined landing areas, bunkers and water give every hole a distinct strategic character.

Signature Hole6

615 metres · Par 5 · Index 1

One of Southeast Asia’s longest par fives, demanding a disciplined three-shot strategy through trees, drains, water and bunkers.

Hole-by-hole

Know the challenge.

1Par 3 · Index 15

The opening carry

The round begins from an elevated tee with a demanding carry across water. Two bunkers guard a gently contoured green, making accurate club selection essential.

Blue 157 m · Red 132 m
2Par 4 · Index 3

Position before power

A strategic drive sets up this memorable par four. Trees define the landing area, water protects the right and bunkers complicate the approach to a green sloping gently from the back.

Blue 410 m · Red 340 m
3Par 5 · Index 9

Through the trees

A narrow, tree-framed opening gives way to a more generous second-shot area. Water threatens the right while bunkers guard a green that falls subtly towards that side.

Blue 455 m · Red 405 m
4Par 3 · Index 17

Courage over water

Played across water to a raised green, this picturesque par three demands distance control and commitment. Deep bunkering and sloping ground punish uncertainty.

Blue 160 m · Red 125 m
5Par 4 · Index 5

Choose the right line

Water, trees and fairway bunkers make position more important than power. The preferred route leaves a controlled approach to a rising, well-protected green.

Blue 373 m · Red 310 m
6Par 5 · Index 1

The signature test

KGTPDRM’s signature hole and one of Southeast Asia’s longest par fives. A disciplined three-shot strategy negotiates drains, trees, water and bunkers from tee to green.

Blue 615 m · Red 513 m
7Par 4 · Index 11

Pokok Asam

Known traditionally as Pokok Asam, this hole rewards restraint. The lake and dense tree line punish aggression before an elevated, bunker-protected green.

Blue 320 m · Red 281 m
8Par 4 · Index 13

A framed fairway

Mature conifers frame this handsome par four. A right-centre drive opens the preferred approach, but bunkers and an undulating green ensure the work is not over.

Blue 315 m · Red 265 m
9Par 4 · Index 7

The skyline finish

Trees, drainage and three greenside bunkers shape the closing hole. Sound positioning creates a chance for par—or better—beneath the Kuala Lumpur skyline.
